Cancellation Policy

The $50 USD deposit is non-refundable, regardless of cancellation. If a participant needs to cancel their registration, they must do so before the first day of the course by notifying the IEP admissions coordinator at iep@olemiss.edu. Once the cancellation has been processed, any course fees that have been paid, minus the deposit, will be refunded via Flywire.

In the event that the cancellation is the result of a decision by the UM-IEP, applicants will be notified before the start of the course. Once the cancellation has been processed, any course fees that have been paid, minus the deposit, will be refunded via Flywire. Any deposit the applicant has paid will be applied to the applicant’s enrollment in a future course.

Technology Policy

All participants must have access to an internet-ready device and reliable internet access. We also recommend that participants do not attempt to complete the course using only a smart phone.

Course Access

Course access will be granted by the instructor following the last day of registration and prior to the first day of the course (e.g., September 3-4 for the September 7 start date).

Mode of Delivery

All of the courses will have an online course portal that can be accessed through the internet. In addition, most instructors will survey the participants to find good times for live class meetings. The remaining instruction will be a combination of online resources and activities to keep the participants engaged with the content throughout the course.

Placement Test

Following the payment of the non-refundable deposit, participants will receive an invitation to take an ESL Placement Test from Off2Class. The results will be shared with the participant and their instructor so that instruction can be tailored to fit the needs of the participants of the course.
