Advanced Plus Program
If you have a 3.00 high school GPA but do not have a high enough IELTS or TOEFL score for full admission, the IEP Advanced Plus Program may be right for you! Through the IEP Advanced Plus Program (APP), students may receive conditional undergraduate admission to The University of Mississippi and fulfill the English Proficiency Requirement by completing 12 hours of Advanced Plus IEP (Level 4) coursework with a B average (3.00 semester GPA). The APP is designed to be completed in one semester or two consecutive 4-week summer sessions. To qualify for the APP, you must meet one of the following English achievements:
- TOEFL iBT score of 69 – 78
- IELTS score of 5.5
- complete the IEP Advanced Level (Level 3)
- other equivalent standardized English test score
If you are a transfer student from an international college or university with at least a 2.50 GPA and meet one of the above English achievements, you may also qualify for APP conditional undergraduate admission as a transfer student. This information is relevant to the common F1 US Student Visa, but other visa categories may have different requirements. Please contact our Coordinator of Admissions at email@example.com for questions about eligibility.

Applying to an Academic Program
To document a student’s successful participation in the IEP Advanced Plus Program, the IEP will issue a letter verifying that a student’s transcript correctly reports the student’s grades and confirming that the student has met the English Language Proficiency requirement for undergraduate admission to The University of Mississippi. Successful completion of the APP replaces the need to present TOEFL, IELTS, or PTE scores to the University when applying to an academic program.
