Kate Batson, Instructor

Originally from Alabama, Kate Batson received her B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies with a depth study in The Spanish Language and Latin American Studies and her M.A. in Spanish Linguistics from The University of Alabama (UA). After completing her M.A., Kate interned in Spain as a teacher of corporate English. Kate also served as an adjunct instructor in the English Language Institute at UA where she taught classes focusing on English composition and pronunciation. Kate received a second master’s degree focusing on TESL within the Modern Languages department at Ole Miss. This semester she is teaching Intermediate Speaking/Listening and Intermediate Pronunication in the IEP. Kate loves to travel and has traveled extensively in North and Central America as well as the Caribbean. She counts her semester of study at the University of Havana and the opportunity to live in Cuba as one of her most rewarding and intriguing travel experiences. Kate is also an animal lover and music fan.
